Gambian boy-group Nobles have released a music video for their new song ‘Kokom’.
Kokom (Marry Me) – NOBLES being the most promising upcoming young Artists with so much energy on stage are taking it to another level. This Video confirms the Energy, Passion and Talent these boys have. Neighborhood Teenage Love is depicted in this Video with amazing choreographic Dance Moves.
The career of the group began through perhaps the most unusual of circumstances as the three members were encouraged to form a group by music lovers in Nema Kunku, a community located in the west coast region in the Gambia. That was in 2013, when the members of the group were more into singing versions of famous songs.
In April 015, the group made its first public appearance. A few months later, their first single ‘Jilewom’ was released. The song earned significant airplay and launched their careers, establishing their potential.
“We are doing African music,” says Abullah Badjan, alias Jola Boy, also a member of the group. “We are brought up in a music community. Our genre is different and our message is love between ourselves. And we advocate for peace within Africa. We believe music is peace and it can inculcate peace in the minds of all.”
About their career so far, Saidou Mballow (alias AYA) says the group represents African cultural values. “We have release two songs, ‘Jilewom’ (meaning, clap for me) and ‘Kokom’. We are working on more songs in the pipeline.”
